Quick Update

I'm BAAACKKKK!!! sort of ;]..haha I just wanted to touch bases w/ everyone who still reads my blog. I've been busy w/ work and school. I hear back from the nursing program early December so everyone cross your fingers for me..THANKSSS!! I know it's been a while and I'm really sorry. But I just wanted to write this post to get your guys' feedback. I want to start blogging more, but I know I won't be able to fully commit especially if I get into the nursing program, but I was thinking of writing Tips of the Day. What do you think? Just small things I find useful on myself when it comes to makeup and such. So let me know what you guys think!

Ughh I'm kind of sad I missed my blog's one year..BOOOO :(..haha oh well.. OHH and I wanted to share a super cool website w/ you ladies. Due to a lot of family problems; I have decided to go on a little hiatus. I miss blogging, but too many things have been going on in my life that has been no bueno and hopefully once things start to look up I'll come back in full swing. Not to mention school starts next week, so i'll be swamped with classes that will hopefully prepare me for the nursing program. (I apply for spring, cross your fingers for me :] )..I'll come back to check in from time to time; if not come back in full. I just feel so bad saying i'll blog and I end up not. I'm tired of hiding behind this facade of a smile when a lot of things just aren't looking up :[.. So this is not a good bye more like i'll be back eventually. I might leave comments from time to time on my daily reads though :]

Viva LAS VEGAS!!!! pt. 1

Forgive me for always being away from my blog for a bit too long..I have to admit sometimes I get bloggers block, other times I don't have much to say, and a lot of the times I just get so lazy :[...so forgive me once again...but these past 2 weeks have been quite eventful..sooo yippy for that! 2 weeks ago was my mom birthday and I met up with some of the beeeeeyotiful blogger babes and last week I was in Vegas..I'll be there again next week to meet up with my beautiful friend and fellow blogger PAMCAKES aka PINK :]..we are finna celebrate Port Prince's birrrrfday.

So the 22nd of July was my mama's 45th birthday. I made her this feast for her to enjoy. I was a tad bummed I couldn't buy her what she wanted, but I think she enjoyed the meal and my sisters and our boyfriends' companies nonetheless. And anyways Christmas hopefully I can get her that netbook she's been wanting.

haha so that was a quote that I heard from some random dirty ass sick-o at Santee Alley when I met up with my girls. It sure gave Adrian, Iyah's man a good laugh. Seriously I hate guys who do shit like that..like fucking are you kidding me? Didn't your mom teach you some manners? You'll never get a girl that way!! Enough of my little rant, Santee was a success. I rode with Iyah, Adrian, and Iyah's sister in law Cha. Seriously fun times in the car. I honestly wish Iyah was closer..one day we'll live around each other in the OC area..whoo hooo!!! :]

And if you go on Jill's, Iyah's, or Kat's page..you'll see that it was a pretty fun filled day. In all honesty, i'm starting to think that these girls on blogger that i'm meeting are waaay more better/ real friends then some of the "friends" i have in my reality. I'm so glad to have met these sexy wonderful girls. Anyways at Santee, I ended up getting 2 clutch bags and a jewelry holder stand thingermajigger. All for 40 bucks..yes complete steal!

Last week I headed out to Vegas with my boys...or well more so Dave's boys, but mine too nonetheless :] Aside from losing 150 at the roulette table (which isn't too bad, but still kinda sucked cuz money is hard to come by right now) I had a fantabulous time. We ate, partied, and just chilled.

We stayed at the Venetian all three nights we were there. I was stuck in a room with three boys, and i'm happy to say it went pretty well. Aside from them trying to rush me my second night while i was "putting my face on", they were such wonderful/ considerate roommates.

We ate and drank most of the time, not to mention we ate food at my favorite places/ cheap eats in Vegas. On our first night we just hung out pretty much. Me and Dave picked up the 2 boys at the airport and then just chilled at our room.

Second day/ night we went to the Egg and I for breakfast, casino hopping, and ate at Ellis Island for dinner..MMmMm $6.99 steak dinner, $10.99 shrimp and steak, and $12 prime rib.. can't beat that! I saw and took a pic with RayJ; Kim K's ex. Lol i talk about them as if i know them er something! But yea. We went and hit up Tao, V Bar, and then Lavo (which ended up being Latin night so we left pretty quickly).

Last day/night we went to Capriottis, which is an amazing sandwich place. We did more casino hopping and me and Dave went to go and check out Serendipity. I think the food looked more appealing than the desserts. I mean, i enjoyed my frozen hot chocolate, but it was waaaay over priced along with dave's sundae, which whoever made it totally did a whipped cream overload ! Not much ice cream :/ We went back to our hotel and went swimming after that. Then got ready and tried to head out to XS

Oh TRUE STORY
So our plan on our last night was to go to XS, but apparently guy cover was $100 buckeroos. Ms. Sasha Fierce was suppose to be there, so they hella jacked up the prices. Off to Tryst we headed. We were pretty far up in the line but the line was hardly moving!!! The only people i saw going in were either large groups of girls and some boys with them or big ballers who paid the bouncers/door men off. (I saw a man handing a mr. franklin off to a bouncer!)





After about 45 mins in line a bouncer, who I noticed kept looking at me, goes up and asked, "How many of you?" and I reply "4" and he goes, "how many girls and boys?" and I respond, "Just me and the three boys"..he then said, "Well I can't let you all in..I can only let in 2 and you have to be included" and I say, "I'm sorry I guess we'll just wait then" 15 mins go by...he talks to another door guy and then goes back to us and says "Ok you guys are in..have fun"...My guy friends and Dave were soo happy.. Dave's best friend Anthony hugged me and was like, "Thank God you're a GIRL!!!" ..it seriously pays to have "your face on" or so that's what my friend Mike said.

And another TRUE STORY

So me and Dave kind of left Tryst early. Like around 1:45 because my head was starting to hurt and my feet were killing me! We get back into the room and I literally knock out within minutes. Next thing I know our friend Mike is calling at around 3 in the morning and Dave leaves the room. When they come back, Dave's best friend is being wheel chaired into the room. Hahaha apparently he got soooo intoxicated that he passed out in the front of The Wynn's lobby. My friend Mike had to beg a taxi driver to take them back to the Venetian (which is only about 2 hotels down). And from there someone told them that they could get him a wheelchair to put him back into the room. Talk about fuck the fucked up! Some soldiers that came back from Afghanistan saw them in the elevator and wanted to take a picture with the champ of the night..lol

And just a small aside..TRYST is a gorgeous club that plays bombdiggity music!!! I absolutely loved it! If only my head and feet weren't in pain. I would have partied til 4 in the morning :/

Next day we left :[..it was a bittersweet moment. We all loved the time we had, but at the same time couldn't wait to go back and regenerate the funds we had all lost at the tables..I can't believe i'll be back next week..

And well that's pretty much everything that's been going on with me. I've missed this and until I do so again. All you hotties have an amaaaazing day! :]

Blahh i'm so sorry for the lack of updates. I know I say that a lot, but seriously nothing exciting has really been happening. The fourth was mine and Dave's 3 years. He surprised and took me out to the Melting Pot. OMG soooo freakin delish! After that we went near our local park and parked at some random business parking lot to view the fireworks. It ws very romantical. Afterwards, we ended up crashing at my house due to food coma. The next day he ended up getting me a Disneyland Deluxe Pass!! Weeee back to the fun disney days! I really missed having an annual pass. Like you'd think i'd get tired of Disneyland, but i really don't.

Quick mushiness: Dave spoils me silly when he has the money and i'm super lucky to have him. NOT just because of his genorosity, but just the kind of man that he is. His heart and intentions are always in the right place and he's always there for his friends, family, and especially me. I'm seriously super blessed. I hardly ever tell him this..haha it's like a secret confession! So shhhhh ;]



Quick Run Down: The Melting Pot is an awesome place to go on special occasions/ date place! It's a 4 course fondue kind of place. You pick your appetizer, then your salads, then your main course which are your meats, and then your dessert. We got the entree for 2 called the Signature selection which was 62, but during the 4th they were having a special where it was 58. The meats it came with were chicken, shrimp, filet mignon, teriyaki marinated sirloin, and salmon.They also have individual entrees. Our grand total including my drink was about $72, which was not bad at all considering the great service, ambiance, and amount of food. We were seriously stuffed! So if you have a little extra to spend I suggest going here for a date night, or girl's night, or whatever. It's a great experience :]

Uhmmm let's see what else..I have a video in the works. Something is wrong with my publishing software so that's why i've been lagging on that. I've also been super stressed out about financial stuff. Man I hate not being able to help out mom as much as I would like. It really sucks to be a single parent. If only I was a nurse already :( Oh well..things could be worse I suppose. And once I DO become a nurse, i'm going to spoil my momma silly. She seriously is thee most amazing woman and deserves it. (Ok totally went off on a tangent!)

Ohhh and me and Dave went to Phillipe's on Thursday in downtown LA..in Chinatown pretty much. They're sandwiches are amazing. Double dipped beef dip sandwich absolute yum to the tum and the lemonade..soo good and pretty cheap; my whole meal was about $6.50!!

SO that's pretty much the low dizzzown on me. I'm really excited about the two vegas trips i'll be taking end of the month and mid august. I really wanna get away from here...and like Jill said you can do vegas recession style and still have fun. That's the plan! I am planning on a strict no buy until school starts again. I'm sure i'll have a small slip here and there, but no more crazy hauls; or well for a while at least.

I've been suffering a serious case of blogger's block/ laziness as well. But finally, I am making the IMATS/POW WOW/ Hangout with Pam and Jilly post. Honestly it was such a blast. I'm not going get into extreme details, but there will be lots of pics in this post..so be warned! So i'll do it by the days/ events just so there's some sense of order.

Friday, June 19th was when I got to see PAM after a loooong time of not seeing her..or well since December. So it was a wonderful reunion. Dave and I took her and Cliff all over the LA area. Starting from Pinks Hot Dog, to the Grove, to Santee Alley, to Little Tokyo, to Glendale, and to Cerritos; where JILLY came to meet us. It was the first time we ever met Jill and it was as if we've known her for so many years. We all just clicked.

It was an extremely eventful day filled with great food, shopping, and company. I seriously cannot wait til the day that Pam and Cliff come and stay here in Cali permanently.

IMATs was an experience in itself. I finally got to match a real face to the blog. All these girls that we met were so awesome and sweet. It was fun getting to know Katrina and Angela. I bought a neutral palette, a brush roll set, brush belt, 2 makeup traveling bags, Lise Watelier concealer round palette, eyeliners, and lip pencils all for 110, not bad right?..All you ladies definitely need to go to the next IMATS next year!

After walking around and getting tired, Jilly, Pam, and I had lunch at some ramen place in LA and headed to the Wilshire Spa to relax and get ready for the POW WOW. That's where we really got to know each other ;P...lol if you guys have never been, I suggest you guys check your local korean spa. It's a crazy yet fun experience.

We ate at a place called Tahoe Galbi. The place was nice, but the service sucked. I guess it didn't matter though cuz we were all enjoying each others company. It was funny just chit chatting and getting to know everyone

After the POW WOW dinner, whoever remained ended up going to Busby's, which is a bar/night club kind of place. It was pretty cool and I had a great time until the alcohol kicked in for me. I had a really good buzz going on until I "thought" that i had dropped and lost my phone some place. Jill was an amazing friend and helped me look all over for it..after an hour or so we found it..in DAVES CAR :[ what a way to kill my fun day/night..oh well..lol there will be other clubbing times with these girls

On Sunday, the 21st. Dave and I hit up Lucky Strike for our friend's bday bash. He had bottle service of Patron for our table and Far East Movement was there and performed. My friend Mel was the camera girl for the day and also took care of me cuz I got pretty FTFU..Good fun + Good Company = a GREAT FUCKING NIGHT...

And that my friend's is my insanely long post about the POW WOW weekend! This weekend (4th of July..how ironic right?) will mark my 3 year anniversary with daveeeyy baby so i'll do a post on that, hopefully we do something fun! :P And i'm suppose to hang out with jilly and her cousin on friday...

So I finally had time to make a post. I know boo me. I'm soo sorry to my loyal readers! I was just really really busy during finals week and the week after that I just wanted to seriously chill..And not to mention not much was really happening. No real crazy fun adventures or anything. Just a bunch of grad parties and some shopping here and there...

So I wanted to show you guys a bunch of the clothes i've been getting for the summer. Maybe it'll inspire some of you guys of things to get for the season :]

On Saturday Night, I went to Huntington Beach to celebrate one of my good buddy's, who also happens to be my coworker's 21st bday. I went with a couple of my coworker friends and Dave. The night was super fun filled even though my voice was out by that point..oh well..haha

My friend aka the bday boy, was sweating as if he ran a marathon or something! He was literally a "wetback." I'm not trying to offend anyone whatsoever! But we gave him a shot of 3 wisemen, liquid cocaine, jager shots, and patron shots and he was gooooone! It was hilarious.

Quick tip: A good drink to get is Tokyo Tea. It seriusly has so much alcohol and tastes pretty good. 2 of those + a jager bomb and I had a really really good buzz almost to the point where i was kind of tipsy!

After the bar kicked us out, we went outside and all of a sudden landed ourselves with a bunch of other drunks and some guy playing a guitar. We seriously had a karaoke session, on the sidewalk.

Haha and true story about the rose I'm holding in the picture. Some random lady came up to me while i was drunk dancing around the street and waving to cars as they passed by. She was like, "I love people like you! So happy, with that care free spirit...here take this rose (handed me the rose). You deserve it!" and then looked at dave and was like, "here take this one too!." LOL the crazy experiences you have when your drunk at 2 A.M. Such drunken fun times :]




After that Dave and I headed to Westminster and went to 24 hour pho because i was craving it. And if you know me, you'd know i hardly crave pho. I love japanese ramen way more then i love pho. But for some reason being that buzzed, pho sounded soooo good.

And the guy that served us was so nice. When i was kind of just pointing to what I wanted he jokingly said, "Can you not talk?" Then i opened my mouth and was like, "I'm sick!" and he heard how horrible my voice was and kind of felt bad for joking with me. 2 mins later he comes with hot lemon water. It was sooo good to my throat :] But still next day I had a mild case of laryngitis.
